Information About SNIP The Siskiyou Spay Neuter Program (SNIP) is a non-profit all-volunteer organization formed by Cheryl Webber in 2002 to help end dog and cat overpopulation in Siskiyou County through education, support and need-based financial assistance to pet owners to help spay and neuter their companion animals. Cheryl formed SNIP because she wanted to do something to make sure there was a program that was affordable to everyone. As Cheryl said, "Our concern and empathy for homeless and euthanized dogs and cats (the consequence of overpopulation) provides us with the motivation for our programs and actions." Cheryl's original goal continues to be uppermost in our minds and work: No more homeless or euthanized pets in Siskiyou County! Spay and neuter is the most humane solution to the overpopulation problem. In addition to serving pet owners throughout Siskiyou County we work with Siskiyou County Animal Control, the City of Dunsmuir and the Siskiyou County Humance Society to acheive our goals. We feel there is no reason anyone in Siskiyou County can't get their pets spayed or neutered as long as we have the funds to help those who cannot afford the full price of the procedure. If you need financial assistance please or can help SNIP in any way please look through our web site and contact us. Thank you! SNIP is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Exempt organization identification number 81-0548049.
